Day 1: Evening Departure to Hengdian
• Evening: Kick - start your journey at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. As you board the train bound for Hengdian, anticipation builds for the adventures ahead. Day 2: A Full Day in Hengdian
• Morning: After a scrumptious breakfast, head to the Qin Palace Scenic Area in “China’s Hollywood.” This sprawling film studio, modelled on the palaces of the Qin Dynasty, has witnessed the making of countless hit films and TV series. As you stroll along the ancient - style corridors, you may feel like you’ve stepped into a historical epic. What’s more, there’s a high chance of spotting international film crews at work. You can even participate in a mock film - shooting session, where you get to act out a scene in a replicated ancient setting, complete with professional costumes and props.
• Afternoon: Enjoy a sumptuous lunch at a local restaurant, relishing the unique flavours of Zhejiang cuisine. Next, make your way to the Dream Valley. Here, you can enjoy a thrilling water - park experience, featuring slides and wave pools. Then, catch the spectacular “Dream Taichi” show. The show combines stunning visuals, acrobatics, and traditional Chinese music, creating an unforgettable sensory experience.
• Evening: Have dinner at one of the cosy eateries in the area. Later, explore the studio town’s vibrant nightlife. You can visit a bar where local and international filmmakers often gather, swapping stories about the industry.
Day 3: More of Hengdian and a Trip to Yiwu
• Morning: Check out of your hotel and visit the Ming and Qing Palace Scenic Area. A 1:1 replica of the Forbidden City in Beijing, it offers a chance to experience imperial grandeur. Rent a traditional imperial costume and pose for pictures in the palatial halls. There are also interactive cultural shows, like calligraphy and Chinese opera performances, where you can learn about Chinese traditions.
• Afternoon: Have lunch and then transfer to Yiwu, “China’s小商品批发 capital.” Dive into the Yiwu International Trade City, a vast marketplace filled with over 1.8 million product varieties. Whether you’re looking for trendy gadgets, unique handicrafts, or the latest fashion items, this is the place to find them.
