Before visiting Chichén Itzá, your experience begins in the town of Kaua, Yucatán, with a stop at Real Mayab, a traditional handicraft centre where local artisans create and sell authentic Mayan crafts. Here you’ll witness a cultural demonstration led by a Mayan shaman, who performs an ancient cleansing ritual that offers a meaningful insight into Mayan spirituality.
