Day 1: Exploring Doi Inthanon & Evening In The Jungle
Start your adventure with a pickup from your Chiang Mai hotel. Take in the lush countryside views as you journey towards Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s highest mountain.
Embark on a guided hike through the rich biodiversity of Doi Inthanon National Park, led by a local Karen guide. Enjoy the fresh air and vibrant landscapes of Northern Thailand, as you journey deeper into nature. After building up an appetite on that hike, refuel with a delicious lunch and coffee break in a local Karen restaurant next to the nature trail.
Continue your journey up to the famous King and Queen Pagodas, located atop Doi Inthanon. Wander around the beautiful pagodas, the unique architecture and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, before ascending to the highest point in Thailand, 2,565 metres above sea level. Take a moment to explore the cool, serene summit of Doi Inthanon and experience the beauty of the mountaintop.
Sit back and relax during the final scenic drive of the day, to our overnight accommodation, located deep in the Northern Thai jungle. The first part of the journey is in the van, then get into the back of the pickup lorry for a true Thai adventure, for the final leg of the journey!
Settle into your accommodation and unwind as the sun sets over the mountains. Savour a traditional Northern Thai dinner prepared by local chefs, then finish the evening by the campfire beneath a sky full of stars in the jungle!
Day 2: Trekking with Elephants
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, taking in the peaceful morning atmosphere, before jumping in the pick-up lorry and heading deeper into the jungle- it's time to find those elephants!
Spend the morning trekking alongside the elephants as they explore the jungle, alongside our experience tour guides and mahouts, who can answer all of your questions. This experience is 100% hands-off, as we believe that the most magical experience that we can have with elephants is simply watching them in their natural state - exploring and eating their way through the jungle, interacting with each other and living their most authentic jungle lives!
Pause for a delicious local lunch in the heart of the jungle, whilst soaking in the natural atmosphere, served on biodegradable banana leaves. All our food is 100% vegetarian/vegan.
After lunch, continue to observe and hike to find the rest of the herd, before heading back to our platform, reflecting on your unforgettable day with these magnificent giants.
The time has come to say goodbye to your new friends. Pack up and check out time. Enjoy the scenic ride back to Chiang Mai, where we will drop you back at your hotel!
