The large Government Museum is renowned for its excellent archaeological collection. Marvel at the ancient artefacts in the well-presented halls and stroll through the leafy garden to see the precious red sandstone building of the National Art Gallery.

Old and young come together to enjoy the seaside at vibrant Marina Beach. You arrive at the Mylapore district, the oldest residential section of Chennai, and home to several colourful Tamil Hindu temples. Stand awe-struck in front of the soaring Roman Catholic San Thome Basilica, funded in the 16th century by Portuguese explorers, before your air-conditioned vehicle whisks you back to your hotel's doorstep.
