At the meeting point, you will meet your local guide and your small group of explorers. After a brief introduction, we will finally embark on our adventure.
In just a few minutes, we will be a short walk from the sea, at a small supermarket that is a veritable temple of 100% Sicilian flavours. We'll kick things off with an assortment of starters: marinated sardines, charcoal-smoked sun-dried cherry tomatoes, and an irresistible selection of cheeses and other fresh, local products.
A leisurely stroll along the waterfront, chatting as we go, will take us to the historic centre, where we will arrive at one of Cefalù's most distinctive little squares.
There, we will enjoy an aperitivo where and how the locals do, sitting on the steps of a small 15th-century church.
We will then continue our tour of the historic centre (Arab-Norman Cathedral, the Bastion, the Old Marina, Porta Pescara, the Medieval Laundry, etc.), losing ourselves in the old alleyways and taking in breathtaking views, and walking along a path carved into the cliff that runs alongside the citadel.
Finally, it will be time for an authentic, simple family lunch at a special restaurant.

We will begin with a selection of traditional Cefalù starters: flavourful Polpette di Sarde (sardine meatballs), vibrant Caponata (aubergine, tomato, and pepper relish), sweet and sour Zucca (pumpkin), Ricotta Fresca delle Madonie (fresh ricotta cheese from the Madonie region), and the golden crispiness of Crocchette di Baccalà (salted cod croquettes).
But the real highlight will be sampling the city's signature dishes: the legendary Pasta a Taianu, a unique delicacy you'll find only here, and the classic Pasta con le Sarde, prepared according to the time-honored recipes of fishermen's wives, who knew how to transform simple ingredients into masterpieces. Each course will be enhanced by a pairing with excellent house wines.
As tradition and our grandparents dictate, a good lunch should end with homemade biscuits “dipped” in a sweet fortified wine.
This “sweet” farewell will take place in a truly magical setting: a small balcony overlooking the sea, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Cefalù's picturesque old pier.
