What you can expect

  • Guided tour with the winemakers at the historic Casa Benna Winery, owned by the Molinari family since 1916. Learn about the grape varieties of this charming corner of Emilia, just one kilometre from the Medieval Village of Castell'Arquato.
    Discover the hillside vineyards surrounding the winery and the production philosophy based on wines with a strong sense of terroir and a distinctive character.
    As you visit the various rooms, you will learn about the different steps that transform grapes into wine and the history behind the creation of each wine. Visit the quiet ageing cellar and its beautiful oak barrels where the fine wines rest.
    At the end of the tour, in the tasting room, sample the entire range of Colli Piacentini wines with the producers, and learn about the grape varieties, characteristics and pairings to appreciate them to the fullest.
    Along with the wines, you will also be served a platter of Piacenza PDO cured meats and Grana Padano shavings.
    The activity takes place entirely on the premises of Casa Benna in the hamlet of Case Sparse Benna.
    At the end of the activity, you will be able to purchase the wines you have tasted.
