Enjoy a full-day experience combining the legendary Caminito del Rey guided walk with a 2-hour electric mountain bike tour, the most complete way to discover the spectacular landscape of El Chorro and the Gaitanes Gorge.
Meet your local expert guide at the Reception of Hotel La Garganta, next to the south access of the Caminito del Rey and just 100 metres from the El Chorro–Caminito del Rey train station. Your guide will manage the group and official entrance tickets. After a short introduction, take the included shuttle bus to the north entrance (Ardales), enjoying panoramic views of the Conde de Guadalhorce reservoir.
Before reaching the access control point, walk through a tunnel carved into the rock and follow a pleasant 15-minute trail surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation while learning about the history of King Alfonso XIII and the origins of this remarkable engineering project. At the entrance, receive your safety helmet and instructions before starting the route.
Walk along more than 3 km of suspended footbridges, attached to the vertical walls of the Gaitanes Gorge, reaching heights of up to 100 metres. Some sections narrow to just one metre wide, adding excitement to the experience. Along the way, discover iconic highlights such as the Chocolate (or Butter) Steps, the Tajo de las Palomas Canyon, the old and new Caminito structures, the King’s Bridge, the Glass Viewpoint, the Valle del Hoyo, and the dramatic narrows of the Gran Gaitán.
The most thrilling moment comes when crossing the hanging bridge, suspended between the canyon walls with breathtaking views over the surrounding cliffs and reservoirs. After crossing, follow a scenic downhill path along the Tajo de la Encantada reservoir to the south exit, where the walking tour ends near the picnic area and Restaurant La Garganta.
After a short break, continue with a guided electric mountain bike tour starting from La Garganta. This eco-friendly activity is suitable for all levels, thanks to modern electric mountain bikes that assist you on climbs and uneven terrain. Ride along forest tracks and mountain paths, reach the old quarry, and climb above the pine forests to enjoy panoramic views over El Chorro and the Gaitanes Gorge. All equipment, transfers, and guidance are included.
