You'll start your experience by meeting your guide at the Cali Tourism Office, where I'll welcome you and we'll do a stretch and warm-up to prepare your body before the ascent. From the get-go, you'll feel the local vibe: athletes, walkers, and travellers who, like you, come to experience one of the city's most traditional routes.
We'll start the ascent along the main trail of the Cerro de las 3 Cruces, a roughly 2-kilometer route that combines sections of moderate incline and other more demanding ones. During the walk, we'll take strategic breaks to recharge, hydrate, and enjoy the first panoramic views of Cali, which will appear as we climb. The guide will be with you at all times, helping you keep up the pace, giving you tips, and sharing interesting facts about the history of the hill, its cultural importance, and its role in the daily life of the people of Cali.
As you progress, you'll notice how the urban landscape begins to get smaller and smaller as the city opens up before your eyes. With every step, you'll feel the perfect mix of physical challenge, nature, and collective motivation, because this hill is famous for its sporty atmosphere and the positive energy transmitted by those who climb it daily.
When you reach the top, you'll find the iconic Tres Cruces, a symbol of the city. Here you'll have time to rest, get some fresh air, and enjoy a unique panoramic view, perfect for unforgettable photos. From this point, you can see a large part of Cali, its areas, its mountainous area, and, if the weather permits, even part of the Valle del Cauca.
After a short break, you'll start the descent calmly, taking the opportunity to observe the vegetation of the hill, the local fauna, and the dynamics of the road from another perspective. Once you're down, we'll wrap up the activity with gentle stretches to relax your muscles after the effort.
