What you can expect

Cala Mariolu, or more accurately Ispulgidenie, is one of the most sought-after destinations in the summer. Its waters, in all shades of turquoise, attract thousands of tourists from around the world. However, some people prefer to enjoy this beach after a rewarding hike. The hike to Cala Mariolu follows old trails until it reaches the beautiful sheepfolds of S’arcu and Su Tasaru. It then continues along a long descent that offers constant glimpses of an unforgettable panorama.

These are thrilling passages that in the past allowed “mountain shepherds” to move easily along these cliffs.

A dense forest accompanies us until we reach the old charcoal kiln and the beautiful beach.

Numerous hairpin bends surrounded by greenery lead us to this bay of incredible beauty. Here, we will stop to enjoy our packed lunch and, in the milder seasons, to take a dip in the bay's waters, which boast a thousand shades of blue.
