Begin your day in the Argentine countryside with a homemade breakfast and an authentic rural experience designed for guests who want more than a typical tourist activity.
At El Tranqueador, horseback riding is approached as a true recreational riding experience, not a slow, single-file trail ride. Our small groups and trained horses allow riders — depending on their confidence and ability — to walk, trot, and even canter during parts of the route, always under professional supervision.
The ride takes place inside Pereyra Iraola Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and one of the most important protected natural areas near Buenos Aires. We are among the very few riding experiences that take guests on horseback through this extraordinary landscape where nature and history meet.
During the ride you will pass through native forests, streams, bridges, lagoons and historic landmarks, including the Santa Helena Chapel and the historic Santa Rosa estancia. The park is also home to the only Agathis alba tree in South America, a rare species known for its unique resin that can make its trunk appear to glow during full moon nights.
After the ride, return to the ranch to enjoy a traditional Argentine BBQ lunch, with unlimited drinks including water, soft drinks, juice and wine. The rest of the afternoon can be spent relaxing by the pool and jacuzzi, walking through the property or simply enjoying the peaceful countryside atmosphere.
The 1.5-hour horseback ride is available for guests aged 14 and older, as it requires a moderately active physical condition and basic agility to mount and dismount.
For younger guests or those who prefer a shorter activity, a 30-minute horseback ride inside the property is available instead, offering a relaxed introduction to riding in a safe environment.
This experience is ideal for travellers looking for active horseback riding, authentic Argentine hospitality and a unique natural setting just outside Buenos Aires.
