What you can expect

  • In the morning, your private guide will pick you up from your hotel to begin the tour. First, visit the “Plaza de la Memoria”, what used to be the Israeli Embassy, before the 1992 bombing that destroyed it. Since the year 2000, a memorial for victims and also for the State of Israel is located there.

Continue to “Templo de la Libertad” (Temple of Liberty), where the Congregation Israeli of Argentina operates. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 2000 as it is the largest and oldest Jewish Temple in the country.

Later, visit a very important place of the Jewish Community in our country: The AMIA (Argentine-Israeli Mutual Association) which was created to carry out all the activities necessary to fulfil Jewish traditions. Get to know their role, initiatives and its history. (The visit to AMIA is subject to availability.)

Finally, a point to highlight is the visit to the area of Once: the quintessential area of Buenos Aires where most of the Jewish community is located.

The Great Paso Temple, founded in 1930 and with capacity for 2000 people, is one of the oldest synagogues in Argentina and the most beautiful in South America. It was the site of the first Talmud Torah (house of religious studies) in the city of Buenos Aires.

Finally, after four hours visiting these important places for the Jewish Community in Buenos Aires, we will be returning to our city centre hotels.
