Join a ceramic workshop in Bucharest and learn how to shape clay, experiment with glazes, and develop your personal artistic style. Choose from a handbuilding workshop, a finishing and decoration workshop, or both.

In the first workshop, you’ll learn how to handbuild a set of ceramic objects. Get an introduction to handbuilding techniques and an overview of different types of clay and their characteristics. We’ll teach key handbuilding techniques like coils, slabs, and pinching.

There will be a practical demonstration of the handbuilding process and you’ll choose the form and style of your ceramic piece. Sketch and plan your project and prepare your workspace and materials.

In the second workshop, learn how to finish, decorate, and glaze your pieces. Discover methods for cleaning and detailing surfaces before bisque firing and selecting textures and finishes for a unique visual effect.

We’ll provide you with the tools and techniques for smoothing and refining details and applying decoration techniques such as incising, stamping, or slip trailing. Get an introduction to glazes, their composition, types, and visual effects.

Prepare and apply glazes using different methods like brushing, dipping, and pouring. Make final touches before the glaze firing.
