What you can expect

Learn to cook like a Bolognese in a typical home in Bologna and get hands-on help preparing your own lunch or dinner from a friendly cook. Enter the home of your cook and teacher, Irene, located in one of the most authentic districts of the capital of the food valley. She has prepared a refined menu of Bolognese recipes using fresh produce and raw materials from the area. Discover what to do with fish or meat and vegetables bought from the central market and use olive oil produced in Puglia.

Start the lesson preparing the dough for tagliatelle or tortellini, then you will roll it out and fill the dressing before baking. Then, learn how to prepare the dough for the ravioli (dumplings composed of a filling sealed between two layers of thin pasta dough) with their filling.

Prepare a typical 3-course meal (starter, homemade pasta or tortellini course, 2nd course and dessert) of dishes such as mixed croutons, aubergine with mushrooms, home-jarred 'sott’olio' (in oil) vegetables, pasta Bolognese style and finally, enjoy dessert with fine local wine.
