We get you to the harbour faster than any other boat, you have around 4 hours to experience the town without the rush. ❤️ The Amphitheatre of Colour As we glide into the harbour of Gialos, have your camera ready. You will see rows of pastel-colored mansions rising up the hillside. This is one of the best-preserved neoclassical towns in Europe and a protected architectural site. ❤️ The Heart of the Sponge Trade Symi was once the world centre for deep-sea sponge diving. Use your extra time to visit the traditional sponge workshops along the waterfront. Meet the local experts who still use traditional methods to clean and prepare authentic sea sponges—the perfect natural souvenir. ❤️ Gastronomy & The Famous Symi Shrimp Four hours is plenty of time for a long, relaxed Greek lunch. We recommend finding a table at a waterfront taverna to try "Simiako Garidaki" (Symi Shrimp). These tiny, flavourful shrimp are unique to this island’s waters and are traditionally served fried and eaten whole.
