At Nacarcosta Wildlife Adventure, our Mangrove Boat Tour unfolds in the very heart of Quepos, inside a private farm that protects the mangrove forest and jungle. And because our canals are fed by freshwater rivers as well as the estuary, we do not depend on the tide, the experience flows year-round.

Mangroves are tropical and subtropical coastal forests, located specifically in the intertidal zone. In Costa Rica, mangroves cover 0.8% of the national territory. They are located mainly on the Pacific coast, along which 99.0% of the country’s mangroves are located.

Like the Mangrove Kayak tour, the tour consists of a circuit with a diversity of tropical landscapes. Through freshwater canals of the river, until reaching the salt water of the sea, including the estuary and the mangrove of Isla Damas. During the tour, you will be able to observe a lot of wild animals in their natural habitat, such as the white-faced monkey, sloths, raccoons, iguanas, basilisks, crabs, crocodiles, snakes, birds, butterflies, among many others.
