What you can expect

Embark on a full-day tour to Blenheim Palace, a monumental estate in the English countryside, and visit the enchanting villages of the Cotswolds. Stop by the small town of Bampton, where many scenes from Downton Abbey were filmed and tour landmarks used in the show.

Your day begins with convenient pickup from central London on a comfortable tour bus that transports you out to the English countryside, where the Baroque architecture of Blenheim Palace stands in all its glory. The birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, this estate boasts extravagant State Rooms covered with priceless works of art. There are over 1,860 acres (754 ha) of gardens and one elaborate fountain after another.

Continue along to the Cotswolds, a region renowned for its attractive small towns and charismatic yellow cottages with thatched rooves. Make a stop in Bourton-on-the-Water, whose famous High Street is flanked by shaded greenery, where the River Windrush runs underneath several arched-stone bridges.

In the village of Bampton, visit the street where many scenes from Downton Abbey were filmed, including Churchgate House which was used as the Crawley family home. You also have the chance to check out the old Grammar School that served as the Downton Cottage Hospital during the show’s run.
