Your adventure begins early in the morning with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. After a short briefing, you will drive through the beautiful landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and the highlands of Karatu before reaching the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy the scenic views and spot Maasai villages scattered across the hillsides.

Upon arrival, you will descend 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most famous natural wonders of Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This vast caldera is home to an extraordinary density of wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, buffaloes, and the rare black rhino. The crater floor is often called the “Garden of Eden” due to its lush vegetation and diverse ecosystems.

Your professional guide will take you on a thrilling game drive across the crater floor, ensuring you get the best chance to spot the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino). You will also visit Lake Magadi, a shallow soft drink lake inside the crater that attracts a wide range of birdlife, including flamingos and pelicans.

Around midday, you will stop at a designated picnic site to enjoy your packed lunch while overlooking the breathtaking landscapes. After lunch, continue your game drive, exploring different areas of the crater until the afternoon.
