You’ve read about it. You’ve watched the documentaries.
But nothing prepares you for standing on the ground where it happened — where a democracy fell, where genocide was planned, and where the world went to war.
This 2.5 hours will change how you understand the 20th century.
The City Where It Began — and Where It Ended:
Berlin was the political heart of the Third Reich. The streets you'll walk are where Hitler was sworn in as Chancellor of a functioning democracy in 1933, where the Reichstag burned, where genocide was planned, and where, twelve years later, the regime collapsed in a bunker under the Reich Chancellery garden.
More Than a Sightseeing Walk:
Most Berlin tours give you dates and buildings. We give you understanding. How did a democracy become a dictatorship in a matter of months? How did ordinary people end up enabling extraordinary crimes? These are the questions this tour answers — through the actual ground where it happened.
What You Will See:
You'll stand at the Reichstag, where German democracy was dismantled through procedure, not force. You'll walk the Topography of Terror — the former Gestapo and SS headquarters, where the basement cells are still partially visible.
You'll visit the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe and the Führerbunker site, where Hitler spent his final days. You'll also stop at the Roma and Sinti Memorial and the Memorial to the Murdered Homosexuals — chapters of the genocide most tours skip entirely.
You'll meet Johann Georg Elser, a carpenter from Württemberg who, working alone, came within 13 minutes of killing Hitler in 1939. Almost no other tour mentions him. We do.
