Visit a traditional Blacksmith to see artisans forging essential Khmer tools like knives, sickles (Kandiev), and various farming hoes (Chab Chiek & Chab Kap). Next, discover the art of Khmer Rice Noodles, learning the labor-intensive process of making these fresh staples by hand. Along the way, you’ll taste and learn: sample fresh sticky rice in bamboo, see the delicate craft of rice paper, and try sweet dried bananas or potent rice wine. We also visit the bustling fish paste market to see a cornerstone of Khmer cuisine.

Midday: History & Sacred Sites

We transition from rural crafts to deep history. Visit the Well of Shadows at Wat Samrong Knong, a poignant memorial where you’ll learn about the Khmer Rouge period with sensitivity.
