Explore a private Modernist city mansion designed by the architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch. In 1902, the Baron de Quadras commissioned Josep Puig i Cadafalch the reform of a house he owned on Diagonal Avenue in Barcelona.

The Baron wanted to give the building a striking appearance, that would represent his new nobiliary title. The building makes you think of a gothic Catalan palace due to the repeated use of gothic sculptures with a profusion of colour ceramics with a clear Islamic influence. Soak up the Modernist bonanza here, including mosaics, sgraffito work, and multicoloured Arabesque woodwork, as well as the sculptures by Eusebi Arnau and Alfons Juyol.
