Chocolate Amatller is the oldest brand in Barcelona. Since 1797, it has preserved a legacy in which art and chocolate come together in each of its creations.

Founded in the heart of the city, today you can immerse yourself in its history at the very place where it all began: in El Born, a area renowned for its rich history and cuisine, just a few metres from where it all started, in Plaça de les Olles.

Enjoy a unique 40-minute experience where history, tradition, and chocolate come together. Through an audiovisual presentation, you will travel back to the 18th century to learn about the origins of Chocolate Amatller and its legacy in the city of Barcelona.

Next, we will teach you how to taste chocolate with all five senses using a personalised kit, allowing you to discover the flavours, aromas, and textures of our brand's most iconic chocolates: Flors and Hojas Finas.

Afterwards, you will experience making cocoa with your own hands, just as Gabriel Amatller did in the 19th century in the heart of Barcelona, gaining insight into the artisanal chocolate-making process.

You will also be transported back in time, learning first-hand how drinking chocolate was consumed in 17th-century Barcelona, and you will be able to taste it in the most authentic way using our original recipe.
