Activity itinerary

Banteay Srei
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket not included
Banteay Srei is built largely of red sandstone, a medium that lends itself to the elaborate decorative wall carvings which are still observable today. Banteay Srei was the only major temple at Angkor not built by a Monarch, it was built by a King’s counsellor in the 10th century. It is an intricately carved and well-preserved Temple. The detailed reliefs on this sandstone structure are the finest, most skilfully crafted in Cambodia.
Banteay Srey Butterfly Centre (Pass by)
BBC is a butterfly zoo near Angkor Wat. Founded in 2009, it is the largest enclosed butterfly centre in Southeast Asia. BBC has been designed and financed by Ben Hayes and Mike Baltzer, two British butterfly enthusiasts. BBC is part of the Cambodian project connecting responsible tourism with environmental conservation. Scientifically, butterflies belong to the insect group of lepidopterans, which also includes moths, and moths also have the attention of BBC. The centre showcase examples of the large variety of lepidopterans in Cambodia, preferably local varieties, in a large netted garden environment. As butterflies have a short lifespan of no more than a few weeks, and because many species are seasonal, there are twice as many species present around the centre during November and December. BBC also works as a sustainable butterfly farm, providing training for locals. Some of the farmed butterflies are meant for the centre's own gardens, while others are meant for sale and export.
Cambodia Landmine Museum (Pass by)
The Cambodia Landmine Museum and Relief Centre serves to educate the public on the dangers of landmines, and in addition it supports education for Cambodian youth. This home was created so that it might serve as a place of healing for bodies, hearts and minds. We believe that love, support and education are the essential means to secure a better future for the children that live here and our visitors.
Preah Dak (Pass by)
Preah Dak Village is a famous and popular place for local market of objects and arts. Visitors can discover beautiful places and natural life. The village is well-known as Khmer Noodle Village and Palm Sugar Producing village. It is one of the popular tourist spots in Siem Reap destination.
Banteay Samre
  • 1h
Banteay Samré was excellently restored by Maurice Glaize from 1936 until 1944. The design of its single ogival tower is immediately recognisable as Angkor Wat style. Due to this temple's similarity to some monuments in north-east Thailand, it has the appearance of a compact Phimai. While there are no inscriptions describing its foundation, it seems likely to have been built by a high official of the court during the reign of King Suryavarman II.
Chau Srei Vibol
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket not included
Chai Say Vibol is the vastest temple complex in the Angkor plains that is situated outside the Archaeological Park. It lies to the east of Angkor and to the north-east of Roluos. Chau Say Vibol was actually located on the old main route from Angkor to the northeast, halfway to Beng Melea and the Phnom Kulen sandstone quarries. At the basis of Chau Say Vibol there is a new pagoda belonging to a Buddhist monastery. It is situated within the medieval temple compound, but you will scarcely notice that. What you see at the car park - and what seems to be large enough for an outer temple wall of considerable length - , indeed, is only the second enclosure. It is a laterite wall with sandstone Gopuram gates at the cardinal points. Inside this vast compound, there are two completely different structures worth a visit, one is on the top of the natural hillock in the very centre, other one is at its southern basis. Both are in ruins, but well recognisable
Prasat Bakong
  • 2h
Visit the impressive 9 century Bakong temple (one of the key Roluos temples). Bakong is the first temple mountain of sandstone constructed by rulers of the Khmer empire at Angkor near modern Siem Reap in Cambodia. In the final decades of the 9th century AD, it served as the official state temple of King Indravarman I in the ancient city of Hariharalaya), located in an area that today is called Roluos. Bakong is located in the centre of Former Khmer Empire Capital City in the 9th century.
