Overview

The Tour takes us to the Faraglioni di Punta Ciriga, is suitable for everyone, lasts about 10 hours and can accommodate up to 12 occupants over the skipper.
Departure from the quiet nautical club of Avola, direction South. We will stop to admire the most beautiful stretches of the coast up to the southernmost point of Sicily and beyond, swim in quiet waters near the coves of Vendicari, snorkel in the cliffs rich in colours and fauna, dive to admire closely the Roman columns lying on the sea floor, visit the village of Marzamemi and have a selected aperitif on board with Sicilian sparkling wine and eating arancini, scones, fresh fruit, beer and soft drinks.
Main milestones: White rocks of Lido di Noto, Calamosche, Tonnara di Vendicari, Vendicari Island, Roman Columns, Capopassero Island, Octopus Cave, island of the currents, Faraglioni di Ciriga, Punta delle Formiche, Playa Carratois, Castello Tafuri, stop on land in Marzamemi.

Lido di Noto

Departure from Avola, southbound, with a first stop at the White Rocks of Lido di Noto;

Riserva di Vendicari

  • 30m
you will enter the Vendicari Nature Reserve through the magnificent areas of Eloro and Marianelli,

Calamosche Beach

  • 20m
and then stop for a swim in front of the beach of Calamosche

Tonnara di Vendicari

  • 20m
the tour will continue in the heart of the reserve to admire the beautiful remains of the Vendicari trap with, immediately after, a stop at the white beach behind the island of Vendicari.

Roman Columns of Marzamemi

You can then observe from the dinghy the 4 Roman columns dating back to the second century D.C, which are located about 5 metres deep near Marzamemi. Sicily Boats provides all participants with snorkelling equipment, i.e. fins, masks and snorkel.

Isola di Capo Passero

The navigation will continue to the island of Capopassero where you can admire the Spanish fortress and where we will try to enter the cave of the octopus.

Isola delle Correnti

we will leave the Gulf of Noto and reach the southernmost point of Sicily, the island of the Currents, just where the two seas meet, the Sea of Sicily and the Ionian Sea

Punta Cirica o Cozzo Ciriga

From here we will resume sailing west going to cut the small gulf and, after just six nautical miles, we will reach the Faraglioni of Punta Ciriga.

Punta delle Formiche

After a few photos, snorkelling, swimming and relaxing, we will sail under the coast in front of Playa Carratois beach and reach the cliffs of Punta delle Formiche. We will take advantage of this stop to enjoy our aperitif by toasting with Sicilian sparkling wine and eating arancini, scones, fresh fruit, beer and soft drinks.

Castello Tafuri

returned to the Gulf of Noto, we will head to the enchanting Castello Tafuri, opposite the island of Capopassero, for some beautiful photographs and, above all, for a swim in the crystal clear waters of Caribbean colours.

Marzamemi

  • 40m
We will then move to Marzamemi for a stop on land to visit the ancient village of sailors and, at your leisure, taste one of the many culinary specialities of the place or buy a souvenir.

Golfo di Noto

  • 30m
Finally, we will return to the port of departure in the late afternoon, after enjoying a magnificent sunset at sea.
