Day 1: Transfer from Moshi/Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Depart from Moshi or Arusha at around 7:00 AM after breakfast. Drive about 4 hours to Tarangire National Park, known for its baobab-dotted landscapes and large elephant herds. On arrival, complete park entry formalities and enjoy a morning game drive. Break for lunch at a picnic site in the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive, spotting lions, giraffes, buffalo, and diverse birdlife. In the evening, transfer to your lodge/camp in or near Tarangire for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (approx. 3–4 hours). Descend 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. Explore the floor of the world’s largest intact caldera, home to elephants, hippos, wildebeest, zebras, and the rare black rhino. Break for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool, then continue with game viewing until late afternoon. Ascend to the crater rim and transfer to your lodge or camp in Karatu or on the Ngorongoro highlands for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Arusha/Moshi
After breakfast, drive about 1 hour to Lake Manyara National Park. Spend the day exploring its lush groundwater forests, acacia woodlands, and the vast soft drink lake. Look out for tree-climbing lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, and flamingos along the lakeshore. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the park before continuing with a final game drive. In the afternoon, exit the park and drive back to Arusha or Moshi, arriving by early evening, marking the end of your safari.
