Begin your adventure with a drive to the Salinas Lagoon, located at 4,300 metres above sea level, nestled between the Misti, Ubinas, and Pichupichu volcanoes.

Keep your eyes peeled for vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas as you journey through this stunning landscape. You might even spot a vizcacha or, if you're lucky, an Andean fox.

Admire the Yareta (Azorella compacta), a plant that only grows above 4,000 metres.

Upon reaching the lagoon, marvel at the sight of three different species of flamingos: the Chilean flamingo (Phoenicopteras chilensis), the Andean flamingo (Phoenicoparras andinas), and the James's flamingo (Phoenicoparras jamesi).

If conditions allow, cross the lagoon in your 4x4 vehicle. After exploring this protected area, return to Arequipa, capturing photos of the breathtaking landscapes and the Misti volcano along the way.

Conclude your tour with a short walk through the historic centre of Arequipa, appreciating its colonial streets and the beauty of the Plaza de Armas.
