What you can expect
Make your way to the workshop in San Antonio Aguas Calientes, a Mayan village 30 minutes from Antigua. Meet your local host and learn about the history of Guatemalan dolls and traditional Mayan dresses, a tradition handed down from mother to daughter.
Follow step-by-step instructions to make your own doll. This activity is suitable for all ages and takes approximately 1 hour.
Also enjoy a cup of our traditional hot drink while working on your doll.
After the workshop, explore our installation, which serves as a factory, workshop, shop, garden, and home, all in one.
You can get to the meeting point (our shop, “nobi”) easily by Uber or bus from Antigua.
By Uber (approx. Q60 - Q90): Search “nobi”, it will take approx. 30 minutes from the centre of Antigua.
By bus (Q7 per person): Take a chicken bus with a sign “San Antonio Aguas Calientes” at the Antigua Bus Terminal behind the Central Market. Get off near the Bodegona supermarket in the village then walk some 10 minutes to our place. Or you can take a tuk tuk, which should cost Q10 per ride.
You can take the same bus at the Bodegona supermarket or Uber to go back to Antigua.
Free street parking available in front of our shop.
