What you can expect

  • Step into Belma and Bengi’s cosy Ankara home for a hands-on Turkish cooking class focused on sustainability, connection, and culture. In this intimate home kitchen experience, prepare a full-course meal using seasonal ingredients sourced from local markets.

Belma and Bengi, longtime friends and advocates of sustainable living, will guide you through traditional Turkish recipes and share tips for zero-waste cooking. As you cook together, learn the cultural stories behind each dish — from the meaning of sofra (the Turkish table) to everyday kitchen rituals passed down through generations.

While your dishes simmer, enjoy conversations around community, food, and mindful living. The class ends with everyone gathering around the table to enjoy the meal you’ve prepared together — accompanied by laughter, stories, and new friendships.

This experience is perfect for travellers seeking to connect with locals, learn authentic Turkish cooking techniques, and discover how sustainability can begin right at your dining table.
