What you can expect

Wiang Kum Kam is a historical site South of the town of Chiang Mai. The site contains the ruins of a 13th century fortified city encircled by moats. The ancient town was rediscovered by chance when local people dug up ancient votive tablets buried in the ground.

The recent discovery of the lost city of Wiang Kum Kam - The Underground Empire, is of great cultural and historical significance. Following a massive flood, the city of Wiang Kum Kam vanished without a trace. For over 200 years, Wiang Kum Kam became a lost civilisation buried under layers of earth. By horse carriage, we explore the main ancient ruined temples of Wiang Kum Kam: Wat Chedi Liam, Wat Phraya Meng Rai, Wat Kan Thom, and Koo Paa Dom. Afterwards visit Wat Chiang Mun, the first temple built in Chiang Mai and contains several very old artefacts. Continue to the Three Kings Monument, and The Chiang Mai Art and Culture Hall offers a good collection of chronicle history of Chiang Mai.
