It’s the perfect blend of historic Dutch charm, fairytale nature, and effortless cycling.
The Magical Itinerary
The Amstel River & Houseboat Highway
Our journey begins right on the banks of the historic Amstel River. We’ll glide across dedicated bike bridges and hidden paths, cycling past Amsterdam’s iconic floating houseboats. Watch locals sipping coffee on their decks and enjoy the glittering open waters—the perfect, relaxing introduction to your vintage ride.

Next, we cruise into the lush, manicured grounds of Amstelpark. If you travel in spring or early summer, you will ride through a breathtaking sea of colours courtesy of our historic, 100-year-old Rhododendron valley. Nestled at the edge of the park sits De Riekermolen, a spectacular, fully functional 17th-century windmill. This exact spot is where the legendary master Rembrandt van Rijn used to sit and sketch! We will stop here for a postcard-perfect photo with your retro bike.
The Amsterdamse Bos: Europe’s Ultimate Urban Forest
Leave the city entirely behind as we enter the Amsterdamse Bos (The Amsterdam Forest). Sprawling, majestic, and three times larger than Central Park in New York City, this is a masterpiece of Dutch landscape design. We will navigate winding, tree-lined paths, pedal past peaceful, mirror-like lakes, and hidden clearings. It feels like cycling through a Dutch landscape painting.
The Garden Return: Gijsbrecht van Aemstelpark
Our loop back is just as scenic. We’ll weave through the peaceful Gijsbrecht van Aemstelpark, a long green-ribbon park filled with modern outdoor art installations and quiet waterways.
The Tree-Covered Boulevard Grand Finale
We wrap up our adventure by coasting down a grand, canopy-covered boulevard. With sunlight filtering through the overhead trees and a gentle breeze at your back, it’s a wonderfully therapeutic end to an unforgettable 3-hour escape.
