Description

Head into the Low Countries for a day spent exploring the canals and historic sights of Bruges. With insight into the sights from an audio guide and the freedom to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site at your leisure, this trip gives you a great look at the peaceful charm of West Holland.

An air-conditioned tour bus carries you from central Paris and through the plains of northern France, delivering you to the historic city centre in Bruges. Explore the exquisitely preserved mediaeval splendour of Bruges' cathedrals, old houses, palaces, and landmarks entirely at your own pace. Choose to venture inside the 13th-century Belfry of Bruges, as well as government buildings like the Gothic-style town hall and the Provinciaal Hof.

In the summer months, you can embark on a cruise along the famous romantic canals that have earned Bruges the nickname, “Venice of the North.” By the time you meet back at the bus for your return trip to Paris, you have a wealth of new insight into the grand old city.

By selecting the appropriate option you could be assisted by an audio guide or at your own leisure

We did not read anywhere that we needed our passport- we showed up and were told we couldn’t go - we quickly ubered back to our hotel to get it and did not make it back before the bus left. The place said they would hold the bus for 5 extra minutes- but they did not. We ended up taking a train there - was never once asked for our passport. Very upset about the whole thing but the train was a 2.5 hour ride instead of 4 hours. We did our own site seeing. Much better time. Left when we wanted to.

It was a great trip! I very much enjoyed it. The only point that was disappointing is where we stopped to eat on the way back; there was one restaurant where no customer went it, as there were flies all over the bread and the place didn’t seem good. There was then a convenient store and that where people had to get chips of candies, which is not a great way to eat before you get back to Paris at 21:00 (9 pm). But aside from that, everything was great! The trip, the driver, the guides, the place we stopped to eat on the way there, etc. I highly recommend it.
