Begin your tour in the Tassili n'Ajjer of southeastern Algeria, a UNESCO World Heritage site and Biosphere Reserve. This vast sandstone plateau, characterised by its “forests of stone” created by millennia of erosion, houses one of the most significant collections of prehistoric art globally.

Encounter the “Round Head” period paintings, which feature enigmatic, ethereal figures that have sparked intense academic debate regarding their symbolic meaning. These works, often painted in vibrant ochre and white, depict a world where humans interacted with a landscape far wetter and more hospitable than the current hyper-arid environment.
