Most waterfall tours drop you at a car park and wish you luck. This one's different.
When you arrive at Cedar Creek, everything is already waiting for you — chairs set out, table ready, water shoes in your size, pool noodles laid out, and a fresh pot of tea on the go. All you have to do is kick off your shoes and walk straight in.
Cedar Creek Falls is one of Queensland's most beautiful swimming holes. The water is clear and cool, the rainforest closes in around you, and the sound of the falls is the only thing you can hear. It's the kind of place that makes you forget you're on a tour at all.
The detail that guests talk about most? The banana bread.
Made fresh by our team before every single departure, it's become the thing people mention in review after review. Warm, homemade, and served with your morning tea — it's a small thing that somehow means everything. It's the bit that makes this feel less like a trip and more like someone actually thought about your day.
Our guides are rated 4.9 out of 5 stars across 139 reviews. They know this region inside and out, and they genuinely love sharing it. Friendly, knowledgeable, and never in a rush — they're the reason guests keep coming back and sending their friends.
Everything you need is included:
Water shoes in every size
Pool noodles for floating
Folding chairs and a table set up at the falls
Tea, coffee, and water throughout
Homemade banana bread
Transport from Airlie Beach
You don't need to bring a thing. Just show up.
The Cedar Creek Express is fully eco certified and runs as a small group tour — which means you actually get to enjoy the place rather than fight through a crowd for a spot in the water.
Cruise ship passengers: this tour is a perfect fit. Departures are timed to work around your schedule, and we'll have you back in plenty of time.
A note on the dry season: Cedar Creek can run lower between August and October. When conditions mean the waterfall swim isn't the right call, we'll take you to one of two genuinely brilliant alternatives — either Whitsunday Gold Coffee Plantation, where you'll get a proper look at how Queensland coffee is grown and roasted, or Colour Me Crazy, a one-of-a-kind boutique that surprises every single person who walks through the door. Neither of these is a consolation prize. Both are highlights in their own right, and guests who've done them often say it was the best part of their day.
Whatever the season, you're going to have a good morning.
