What you can expect

  • Come and enjoy an authentic journey into the heart of Molise with a guided visit to the award-winning Caseificio Di Nucci in Agnone. At the start of the tour, you will learn about the importance of the local raw material: milk, selected every day from small local farmers and their beautiful cows.

    Wearing a hairnet and shoe covers, you will enter the production facility to see all the stages of production in person: from the raw milk, to which rennet and natural starter whey are added, to the curd. You will observe the artisanal stretching and manual shaping of the cheeses by our expert cheesemakers, following each step: stretching, shaping, cooling, salting and packaging.

    The visit continues in the ageing cellar, lined with local stone, where you can admire and smell our renowned Caciocavallo, aged for up to 24 months. You will conclude the experience with a guided food tasting of five cheeses produced on site, accompanied by water from Molise and local bread. A unique sensory experience to discover the secrets and flavours of Alto Molise!
