Our travel leader will accompany you to the memorial grounds and museum of the great Osagyefo (savior). He was a political theorist, politician, visionary and a revolutionary. He led the Gold Coast to independence from Britain in 1957 and became the first Prime Minister and President of Ghana. Travellers will get to see the memorial grounds of Osagyefo and his wife as well as learn about his personality and his ideals and also see some of the life changing books he wrote on racism, slavery , imperialism and Neo-colonialism. Travellers can take pictures outside of the museum only. It is forbidden to take pictures inside the museum.

Explore the women dominated Makola market, interact with market women and experience their daily market routines and get to know all kinds of vegetables and items that dominate the market. Travellers can take a break and enjoy healthy and cool locally brewed drinks with corn, millet and other cereals. Travellers can also take aerial pictures. For one on one pictures with market women and traders kindly ask for permission.

Our accredited tour guide will accompany travellers to “The Castle” Osu, popularly known as the Christiansborg Castle. It is one of the three main castles in Ghana built by Denmark-Norway in the 1660s. Thereafter its ownership changed between Denmark-Norway, Portugal, the Akwamu, Britain, and finally post-Independence Ghana. Travellers will learn more about its history and its present state. During the tour it is allowed to take pictures inside the castle but prohibited outside. Visits can only be allowed with special permission and an accredited tour guide or establishment.
