What you can expect

  • Discover a different side of Japan on a three-hour guided walking tour of Enoshima, where island shrines, sweeping ocean views, and mysterious caves come together in one coastal adventure.

Meet your guide at Katase-Enoshima Station and cross the bridge to the island, enjoying the sea breeze and views along the way. Walk through the lively shopping street lined with souvenir shops and local food stalls, then pass through the impressive Zuishinmon gate towards Enoshima Shrine.

Visit Hetsunomiya, one of the island’s main shrine buildings, and learn about the beliefs and traditions that give Enoshima its spiritual character. Your guide will introduce Japanese shrine etiquette, helping you connect with the places you visit.

Continue uphill to the island’s summit and stroll through the Samuel Cocking Garden before visiting the Enoshima Sea Candle observation tower. Take in panoramic views of the coastline and surrounding sea, with time to enjoy the scenery and take photos.

The adventure continues as you make your way to the Enoshima Iwaya Caves. Step into these atmospheric sea caves and hear about their connection to the island’s legends and history.

Finally, walk back across the island and bridge with your guide.

Whether you love cultural discoveries, coastal scenery, or a little adventure, this tour brings together the island’s highlights in a memorable three-hour walk.
