What you can expect

  • Go beyond traditional sightseeing and explore Verona’s historic centre through a small-group narrative experience designed for curious travellers. This is not a standard walking tour, but a carefully crafted journey through the city’s identity.

Wander through medieval alleys, hidden courtyards, and historic squares such as Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza dei Signori, discovering how Roman, Medieval, and Austrian influences continue to shape daily life. Each stop is intentionally selected to reveal a different layer of Verona’s character, creating a narrative thread that connects past and present.

Along the way, step inside local wine bars, osterias, cafés, pastry shops, historic food stores, and artisan workshops. Short encounters with the people who live and work in the historic centre offer insight into family traditions, contemporary challenges, and everyday life beyond the monuments.

This is not a food tour and no tastings are included. However, you are welcome to pause for a coffee or a glass of local wine if you wish, directly supporting the small businesses visited.

For those who want a broader perspective, an optional upgrade includes a panoramic ascent to Castel San Pietro (approximately 30 additional minutes). From the top, sweeping views over the rooftops and the Adige River provide a final layer of understanding of Verona’s urban landscape. The “View from Above” option must be selected at booking and involves an additional fee.

An 8:00 PM departure is also available for those who want to experience Verona after dark. As night falls over the historic centre, the illuminated Roman and medieval stone comes alive, offering a serene, magical walk far from the daytime hustle.

Ideal at the beginning of your stay for orientation and local insight, or at the end to deepen your connection, this experience reveals Verona as a living city shaped by the people who inhabit it every day.
