This is a unique and carefully composed 8 Day Self Drive Tour with a SUV hire car to the most fascinating sites in Armenia. You will see the capital Yerevan, the monastery Khor Virap with the famous panorama of Mount Ararat and the Wine region around Arpa valley and Areni.

You will drive over some of the highest passes in Armenia and have the options to hike in the National Park of Dilijan.

You will see the famous Lake Sevan and enjoy a Culinary afternoon at a typical Armenian family in Gyumri.

We pick you up at the airport on the day of your arrival and bring you to the hotel.

On day 1 our friendly local Armenian guide shows you the city of Yerevan.

She will answer all remaining questions related to your upcoming Self Drive Tour.

On day 2 at 9.00 am we deliver your SUV hire car with insurance and a full tank of fuel.

Please return the hire car at day 7 with a full tank of fuel.

On day 8 we organise the airport transfer from the hotel.

The first stop is at the famous Cascade complex with the marvellous views over Yerevan with the Sculpture park of famous international artists.

Aghnjhadzor Caravanserai

Today you drive north over the Selim Pass to Lake Sevan. You first stop is at the historic Aghnjhadzor Caravanserai at the historic Silk Road, that is very well preserved but often over looked.

Close to the pass stands the famous Orbelian's Caravanserai from the 14th century at a height of 2,410 metres (7,910 ft) above sea level. Orbelian's Caravanserai is the best preserved caravanserai in the entire country. Have a photo stop here.
Noratus Cemetery

You continue north and turn right onto the peninsula and visit the beautiful monastery of Sevanavank with its fantastic views over Lake Sevan and the mountains around. You can buy local souvenirs like precious stones or taste the local dishes of fresh fish from the lake. The most famous fish is "Ishkhan", a trout species.

You cross another pass today on your road to Dilijan, that is a touristic centre in the heart of the Dilijan National Park. Have a walk in the beautiful old town and continue to your guesthouse in Dilijan.
