What you can expect

DAY 01: ARRIVE AT PARO to THIMPHU.
Once you arrive at the Paro Airport, you will be greeted by our representative (Guide) and then drive to Thimphu (50km) which takes approximately an hour. On the way visit; Tachogang Iron Chain Bridge, located along Paro-Thimphu highway. In Thimphu visit; National Memorial Chorten:
Lunch at Zombala 2 Restaurant, try Momos (dumplings), Thukpa: A comforting noodle soup and Ema Datshi: Bhutan’s national dish made with chillies and cheese.
Walk through Bhutan's capital city exploring Clock Tower Square and stroll towards Thimphu’s iconic traffic junction, famously known as the main roundabout as it has no traffic lights.
Buddha Dordenma Statue, Royal Takin Preserve, Changlimithang Archery Ground to see local folks playing their traditional game archery.
The Centenary Farmers Market (Now Kaja Throm).

DAY 02: THIMPHU SIGHTSEEING
Tango Buddhist Institute: The temple can be reached through a hike (1 hour approximately) through the scenic mountains and alpine woods.
On the way back visit The Choki Traditional Art School (CTAS) and Pangri Zampa – Astrology College and seek and find out your astrology birth chart.
After lunch, visit Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory, The Authentic Bhutanese Crafts Bazaar and Tashichhodzong.

DAY 03: THIMPHU TO GANGTEY
After breakfast,drive to Gangtey (4 and half hrs). On the way, stop at Dochula Pass. Once here, you will witness 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens.
Our journey then takes us over the scenic Lawo La Pass as we make our way to Gangtey.
In Gangtey, hike across Gangtey Nature Trail which is one and a half hours and enjoy the breathtaking view of Phobjikha valley.

DAY 04: GANGTEY TO PUNAKHA
Starting with Gangtey Gompa dating back to the 17th century,
Then, drive back to Punakha (1 and half hrs). walk across farmhouses to reach Chimi Lhakhang, A 15th-century fertility temple and Punakha Dzong & & Longest suspension Bridge.

DAY 05: PUNAKHA
After breakfast, 45 minutes hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel chorten with the picturesque view of the rice terraces along the river.
A lunch at the Leki Farm House at Lapsakha with the view of the Punakha valley.
After lunch, drive to Talo village and take a walk into the village. Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery.

DAY 06: PUNAKHA TO PARO
After breakfast, drive to Paro (3 and half hrs).
In Paro visit Paro Kyichu Lhakhang and Rinpung Dzong, translates to “Fortress of the Heap of Jewels”, a short hike to Zuri Dzong.
Later, visit Chencho Weaving Centre in Paro Town and stroll around Paro city centre for shopping.

DAY 07: PARO TIGER’S NEST. OVERNIGHT IN PARO
Taktsang Monastery: the hike towards Taktsang follows an uphill route and returning back takes approximately 5-6 hours at an average walking pace on a clear, sunny day. Visit Namgay Artisanal Brewery. They brew many styles of beer.
Later we welcome you for Hot Stone Bath.
Practice archery at the farmhouse.

DAY 08: DEPART FROM PARO AIRPORT.
In the morning drive to Airport for your departure.
