First stop: Visit to a Traditional Distillery Scotland is world famous for its whisky, and we can’t set out on our journey to the Highlands without first discovering the secrets of its distillation. What are we doing here? Distillery tour – We will learn about the process of distilling Scotch whisky, from barley to bottle. Whisky Tasting – We will taste some of the best single malts in the region (optional for those who want it). Opportunity to buy exclusive editions – a perfect souvenir for whisky lovers.

Victorian Charm in the Highlands Pitlochry is one of the most picturesque villages in Scotland, surrounded by mountains, forests and crystal clear rivers. What are we doing here? Free time to explore – Enjoy its local shops, cafés and Victorian atmosphere. Optional Walk – Visit the famous Pitlochry Dam and its salmon ladder, where fish climb the river to spawn. Lunch (not included) – We will have time to eat at one of the local restaurants before continuing our route.

The Gate of the Highlands We arrive in Inverness, one of the most beautiful towns in Scotland, located on the banks of the River Ness and surrounded by spectacular scenery. What are we doing here? Panoramic tour – We will see Inverness Castle, St Andrew’s Cathedral and the charming historic centre. Free time – Explore the city at your own pace, stroll along the river or enjoy coffee in one of its cosy cafés.

Loch Ness, home of the legendary creature Nessie, awaits us. It is one of the most famous lakes in the world, known for its mysterious waters and breathtaking landscapes. What are we doing here? Loch Ness Cruise – We board a boat for a guided tour of the lake, where we will search for clues to Nessie and discover local history and legends. Panoramic Views – We enjoy the breathtaking views of the mountains surrounding the lake and the picturesque landscapes that make it such a special place. Photography – Don’t forget your camera! Every corner of Loch Ness is worthy of a photo.

Located on the shores of the mysterious Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle is one of Scotland’s most iconic and evocative fortresses. Its ruins, steeped in history, perch on a rocky promontory, offering breathtaking views of the lake and its surroundings. History and legend Built in the 13th century, this castle witnessed centuries of battles between Scottish clans and English attacks. Although today only its ruins remain, the essence of its greatness is still perceived in every stone. Legend has it that the mythical Nessie has been spotted near these waters... Keep your eyes open! Things to do in Urquhart Castle ✨ The Grant Tower: Climb up and enjoy a panoramic view of Loch Ness. The walls and the moat: Imagine medieval life as you stroll through its fortified remains. The visitor centre: Explore an exhibition with historical artefacts and discover the castle’s exciting history.

Free time in Fort William 1️⃣ High Street – The heart of the city Start by exploring High Street, the pedestrian high street, lined with local shops, cosy cafes and traditional pubs. Here you can buy Scottish souvenirs, try a handcrafted coffee or just wander around enjoying the atmosphere. 2️⃣ West Highland Museum (Optional, 30-45 min) If you’re interested in history, this free little museum will immerse you in the past of the Highlands, with exhibits about the Jacobites and local life. 3️⃣ Walk to Loch Linnhe (15-30 min) From the High Street, take a relaxing walk to the shore of Loch Linnhe, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the lake and mountains. If the weather accompanies, it is a perfect place for photos. 4️⃣ Lunch in a Scottish pub (Optional, 1 hour) Try typical dishes at places like The Grog & Gruel or The Tavern, where you can sample haggis, fish & chips or a good Scottish beer.

Ben Nevis Visitor Centre (30-45 min) Location: Only 5 minutes by taxi from the centre. Here you can: ️ Learn about the history and geology of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK (1,345 m). Enjoy a viewpoint with spectacular views. –♂️ If you take heart, you can take a short walk along nearby trails. 3️⃣ Nevis Range Mountain Gondola (1.5 - 2 hours) Location: About 15 minutes by taxi from Fort William. Climb the cable car up to 650 m high at the Nevis Range ski resort. Stunning views of the Highlands, the Great Glen and, on clear days, up to the Isle of Skye. Option to take a short walk to the viewpoints of Sgurr Finnisg-aig or Meall Beag to enjoy incredible scenery.

Travel from Fort William to Oban The route follows the picturesque A85, passing through lakes, hills and spectacular landscapes of the Highlands. Free time in Oban (3-4 hours recommended) 1️⃣ Explore city centre and the bay (30-45 min) Walk through the port: Walk along Oban Bay, enjoying its views and fishing atmosphere. Oban Distillery (optional): One of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, perfect for tasting local whisky. 2️⃣ Climb McCaig’s Tower (30 min) ️ This circular stone monument offers the best panoramic views of the city, bay and nearby islands. “You get there in about 10-15 minutes walking from the centre. 3️⃣ Lunch with fresh seafood (1 hour) Oban is known as the "seafood capital of Scotland". Recommended options: ️ Oban Seafood Hut – Fresh seafood in an informal atmosphere (mussels, oysters, lobster). ️ Ee-Usk – Restaurant with sea views and traditional Scottish dishes.
