Day 1 – Addis Ababa to Hawassa (Rift Valley Scenic Drive & Lake Safari)
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Addis Ababa through the spectacular Great Rift Valley, one of Africa’s most dramatic geological landscapes.
Along the way, enjoy views of volcanic lakes, rural villages, and fertile farmland before arriving in the lakeside city of Hawassa.
After hotel check-in and lunch, enjoy a relaxing afternoon before heading to Amora Gedel Park around 4:00 PM.
Here you will take a boat safari on Lake Hawassa to observe wildlife and birdlife. Overnight: Hawassa.

Day 2 – Hawassa to Bale Mountains (Wildlife Safari in Dinsho)
After breakfast, drive southeast towards the spectacular highlands of Bale Mountains National Park, one of Africa’s most important biodiversity hotspots.
Upon arrival at Dinsho, complete park entry formalities and receive a briefing from park authorities.
Continue to Robe for lunch and hotel check-in.
In the afternoon around 3:30 PM, head back into the Dinsho Moorlands for a game drive and wildlife exploration.
Animals commonly spotted include:
Mountain Nyala
Menelik's Bushbuck
Warthog
Ethiopian Wolf (rare sighting)
Various highland birds and endemic species
Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day 3 – Bale Mountains Trekking & Wilderness Camping
Today is dedicated to exploring the stunning landscapes of Bale Mountains National Park.
Travel deeper into the park to experience the breathtaking Afro-alpine plateau, considered the largest alpine habitat in Africa.
Activities include:
Mountain trekking and nature walks
Wildlife tracking
Birdwatching
Exploring alpine moorlands and giant lobelia plants
Possible wildlife sightings include:
Ethiopian Wolf
Giant Mole‑Rat
Mountain Nyala
Enjoy the silence of the wilderness as you camp under the stars.
Overnight: Camping in Bale Mountains National Park

Day 4 – Bale Mountains to Lake Langano (Rift Valley Lakes & Nature Walk)
After a morning hike and wildlife exploration, begin your scenic drive back towards the Ethiopian Rift Valley lakes.
Stop for lunch in Shashamane at a well-known local Rastafarian restaurant.
Continue to Abijatta‑Shalla Lakes National Park, famous for:
Flamingos
Pelicans
Ostriches
Gazelles
Hot springs and volcanic landscapes
After exploring the park, drive to the beautiful shores of Lake Langano.
Check in at Savana Lodge and enjoy a sunset walk along the lake, one of the few Rift Valley lakes safe for swimming.

Day 5 – Lake Langano to Addis Ababa
After breakfast, begin your return drive to Addis Ababa.
En route, stop in Bishoftu (also known as Debre Zeit) for lunch at a lakeside restaurant overlooking the scenic crater lakes.
Enjoy a relaxing afternoon before continuing back to Addis Ababa for airport transfer or hotel drop-off.
