What you can expect

Venture out and explore the scenic Akamas Peninsula area, with its wild landscapes and dramatic gorges. Behold some of the most breath-taking views in Cyprus, and discover Avakas Gorge, Lara Bay, and the Baths of Aphrodite on this 4x4 adventure that goes well off the beaten track.

Your day begins as you hop on your 4x4 and head towards the Akamas Peninsula, the geological gem of Cyprus. As you traverse through the rough and rugged scenery, discover the splendour of this promontory and admire the island's lush vegetation.

Visit Avakas Gorge, perched on the western tip of the Akamas Peninsula. This deep canyon is famous for the sheer walls of limestone that forms a natural tunnel.

Continue to the remote Lara Bay, a near-deserted sandy beach only accessible by a 4x4 vehicle. The isolated beach is home to a conservation station and is one of the few remaining sanctuaries for the protected green sea turtles to nest, so you won't find a parasol or sun bed in sight.

As you make your way back to Paphos, have a final stop at Latchi to visit the Baths of Aphrodite, whose legendary waters are said to have magical rejuvenating properties.
