Activity itinerary

Chrysotile

  • 3h
Once you arrive, there will be a short safety talk. Then the ride will start on a trail that is mostly dirt and small rocks. The beginning of the trip will drive along the ridgeline of the mountain where you will be able to look out over high plains and deep canyons. We will be passing through a 100,000 acre cattle ranch with a high likelihood of seeing the cattle heards. After we leave the cattle ranch, we will be driving through high plains dessert with Juniper and other pine trees. We will then travel on a forest service road along mountain passes with switch backs, taking in the views of the Salt River Canyon. The tour will stop along an overlook of the Salt River Canyon for an excellent photo opportunity. The stop will take approximately 30 minutes. The ride will continue past Cenec Lake and its abandoned resort. Then there will be a short drive back on the highway back to the starting point.
