Overview

Take advantage of this special class to get drumming lessons and other regional instrumental instructions from the inhabitants. Enjoy some local songs with the locals while you learn to inflict yourself on the local tunes. Try your hands on the local drum and try your body to various Ghanaian continental dance performances. Led by a team of specially trained facilitators, try the Djembe repertoire, which includes several traditional rhythms. Our classes introduce you to several of these rhythms, which are then developed and expanded upon as you progress. These traditional rhythms were first played to commemorate traditional festivals and important ceremonial occasions but are now played for entertainment.

We are confident that, following these encounters, you will become skilled at playing an instrument. You might even buy something suitable to keep you busy back home.
