Description

Day 1:Leave Alice Springs and listen as your guide describes the geography of the outback. Arrive at the world-famous Uluru. Take a few photos before travelling to a camel farm, where you have the opportunity to ride one of these versatile working animals. After lunch, set out to explore the 36 domes of Kata Tjuta, marvelling at the ancient geological formations. While sipping a glass of sparkling wine, watch the spectacular colours of the sunset before heading back to the campsite, where a freshly-prepared dinner and another glass of wine await ( L,D)

Day 2: Get up early to see the sunrise over Uluru. While the air is cool, walk around the base of the structure, admiring the ochre colour of the massive rock. An Aboriginal guide walks you through the sacred land of the Mala people, helping you to understand the history of the land's original caretakers. Establish a connection with the oldest culture on earth before visiting a cultural centre where you can view Aboriginal crafts. Sleep in a comfy campsite, feeling at home amongst the stars. ( B,L,D)

Day 3: Stretch your legs and begin the final day hiking through impressive Kings Canyon and uncovering the mysteries of the dusty desert. Continue along the towering walls and crevices of Watarrka National Park, in awe of the sheer size and strength of the monolith-like sandstone structures. Refuel with a well-earned lunch before heading back to Alice Springs, gazing back at the mysterious Red Centre. (B,L)

I paid $150 for my husband and I to upgrade our accommodation and when we arrived all others in our tour group had the same accommodation that we had but at no charge... The guides were very helpful
