Learn Dog Mushing!!! Our Alaska State sport.

We designed this tour as an introduction to dog mushing for those who want to experience the activity beyond just riding in the sleigh. If you want to experience the rush of running your own dog team, this is your chance.

You will meet the sleigh dogs in our kennel and get plenty of time to get familiar with your team. Your experienced dog mushing guide will present to you the basics of dog mushing, teach you how to put on a harness, and line up the sleigh dogs in preparation for take off.

You will mush on a tag sleigh attached to a well-trained team of Alaska huskies from our race kennel. From a second attached sleigh, your coach will guide you through basic training of dog mushing.

Each participant has a full 30 minutes of practising on the sleigh runners, learning how to lean into the turns, breaking, and leading your dog team by voice command only. A second 30 minutes you are spending in the sleigh watching/studying your partner practising.

You will get great insight into the art of dog mushing and have plenty of time to take pictures of this great experience.
