DAY 1: The Heart of the Andes and Ascent of Pico Austria

The expedition begins with a private pick-up from your accommodation in La Paz, and we will then travel by 4x4 vehicle to the Tuni Condoriri Nature Reserve. We will begin an approximately 6-hour trek, visiting the Khaunani Lagoon (4,550 m) and the Chiarkhota Lagoon (4,690 m), where we will observe Andean wildlife such as llamas and vizcachas.

For those seeking a challenge, we will ascend to Pico Austria (5,350 m), a prime natural vantage point offering panoramic views of the snow-capped Huayna Potosí and Cabeza de Cóndor peaks. In the late afternoon, we will set up our base camp on the shores of Juri Quta Lagoon, where we will enjoy dinner under the stars amidst the silence of the mountains.

DAY 2: Ventanani Glacier and the 3-Lagoon Circuit

After an Andean breakfast with a direct view of the rock massifs and glaciers, we will begin exploring the Epic Circuit of the Lagoons: Juri Quta (15,748 ft), Eslovenia (16,076 ft), and Ventanani (16,437 ft).

The highlight will be reaching the Ventanani Glacier, where you will have the opportunity to touch real ice and marvel at the sheer magnitude of the giants of the Cordillera Real.
Finally, we will begin our descent to return to the city of La Paz, arriving at approximately 5:30 PM.
