Overview

Petra is located in the middle of the desert, and was inhabited by the Nabateans over 2000 years ago. They prospered by building water cisterns, and sold the water to passing merchants and travellers.  It is said that the Nabateans abandoned Petra after a huge earthquake, because the water cisterns were damaged beyond repair.  The Nabateans left an abundance of history behind.  Walk through Petra, see Her Famous Treasury, the mourning halls, the temples, the tombs, and much more.

We will pick you up from the meeting point at the central bus station in Eilat and take you to the border. After crossing the border Start the wonderful day touring in Petra. We will see the treasury house, the tombs the Roman theatre and more. You will learn about the Nabataens their history, their art, their gods, and more. After 3 hours of walking and learning, we will eat lunch in one of the local restaurants. After lunch, Transfer to Wadi Rum for overnight in a genuine Bedouin camp.
