What you can expect

The Everest Base Camp Trek is a classic Himalayan journey that combines high-altitude adventure, Sherpa culture, and panoramic mountain scenery. Beginning in Kathmandu, this guided multi-day trek follows the traditional Everest route with gradual acclimatisation, licensed local guides, and carefully organised logistics. Travellers experience suspension bridges, monasteries, glacier landscapes, and close-up views of Everest (8848.86 m), Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and surrounding peaks while staying in traditional tea houses along the trail.

-Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu – 1400 m / 4593 ft. Airport pickup and hotel transfer with a short briefing about the trek and preparation for the journey.

-Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing and preparation – 1400 m / 4593 ft. Final equipment check, permit arrangements, and optional exploration of cultural heritage areas.

-Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2850 m / 9350 ft) and trek to Phakding (2650 m / 8694 ft). Scenic mountain flight followed by a gentle walk through Sherpa villages along the Dudh Koshi River.

-Day 4: Phakding to Namche Bazaar – 3440 m / 11,286 ft. Cross suspension bridges and enter Sagarmatha National Park before ascending to the vibrant mountain town of Namche.

-Day 5: Acclimatisation in Namche – 3440 m / 11,286 ft. Short hikes to viewpoints such as Everest View Hotel with panoramic Himalayan scenery.

-Day 6: Namche to Tengboche – 3850 m / 12,631 ft. Forest trails lead to Tengboche Monastery, surrounded by Ama Dablam and Everest views.

-Day 7: Tengboche to Dingboche – 4410 m / 14,468 ft. Trek through alpine landscapes and traditional settlements as the terrain opens into high mountain valleys.

-Day 8: Acclimatisation in Dingboche – 4410 m / 14,468 ft. Optional ridge hike for altitude adaptation and wide views of Lhotse and Makalu.

-Day 9: Dingboche to Lobuche – 4910 m / 16,109 ft. Pass memorial sites and follow glacial terrain beneath dramatic Himalayan peaks.

-Day 10: Lobuche to Gorakshep (5140 m / 16,864 ft) and Everest Base Camp – 5364 m / 17,598 ft. Reach the iconic base camp near the Khumbu Icefall before returning to Gorakshep.

-Day 11: Kala Patthar sunrise – 5550 m / 18,209 ft, then descend to Pheriche. Enjoy one of the best viewpoints of Everest and the surrounding range.

-Day 12: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar – gradual descent through forests and riverside trails.

-Day 13: Namche to Lukla – final trekking day celebrating completion of the Everest journey.

-Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu – 1400 m / 4593 ft with hotel transfer and rest time.

-Day 15: Leisure day in Kathmandu with optional exploration and recovery after the trek.

-Day 16: Final departure according to flight schedule.
