Overview
This indeed the best of South Africa Tour. It offers the very best of what South Africa has to offer. Starting off in Johannesburg, proceeding to Kruger National Park, one of the largest game reserves in Africa. From Kruger National Park you go to Isimangaliso Wetlands Park where you go on a Hippo and Croc Boat Cruise. This is followed up by a 3 hour game drive. From Isimangaliso Wetlands Park proceed to Durban. In Durban do a tour of the city and visit the local market housing a lot of locally made goods. From Durban proceed to the longest mountain range in Africa, the Drakensberg Mountains. From the Drakensberg we embark on a journey to Cape Town, stopping over and visiting many towns and other tourist areas along the way such as Knysna, Hermanus, Betty's Bay, etc.. Other highlights include wine tasting at Benguela Cove Wine Estate and the world's highest bungy jump at Bloukrans Bridge. On arrival in Cape Town we take you up Table Mountain, one of the most iconic in South Africa.

From Mandela House embark on a 5 hour drive to Kruger National Park. Kruger National Park, in northeastern South Africa, is one of Africa’s largest game reserves. Its high density of wild animals includes the Big 5: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalos. Hundreds of other mammals make their home here, as do diverse bird species such as vultures, eagles and storks. Mountains, bush plains and tropical forests are all part of the landscape.

Elephants, giraffes and leopards inhabit the grasslands and forests of the nearby Western Shores and Charters Creek areas. To the north, Sodwana Bay is known for its colourful coral reefs.

Embark on a Hippo and Croc Boat Cruise in the St Lucia Estuary. View Hippo and Crocodile in St Lucia aboard a Cruise, a spacious flat-bottomed boat which takes you on a journey of discovery through the St Lucia Estuary. Frolicking hippopotami, lazy Nile crocodiles and majestic fish eagles are some of the highlights of the adventure.
Traversing approx. 7 kilometres of the estuarine waterway, the Cruise will get you closer to the wildlife for the ultimate photographic opportunities.

Nelson Mandela Capture Site

Take a tour of the Nelson Mandela Capture Site. Nelson Mandela was arrested on 5 August 1962 outside Howick, Natal, South Africa. He spent the next 27 years of his life in prison.
The Nelson Mandela Capture Site commemorates this moment in history with a visitor centre and a world renowned sculpture.

Hike in the Drakensberg Mountains and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Drakensberg, the main mountain range of Southern Africa. The Drakensberg rises to more than 11,400 feet (3,475 metres) and extends roughly northeast to southwest for 700 miles (1,125 km) parallel to the southeastern coast of South Africa. Rock and cave art several thousands of years old has been found in the range.
At the Drakensberg, you get to do some hiking.
Day 7: Depart from Central Drakensberg Mountains and proceed to the Southern Drakensberg area for a tour of Sani Pass

Sani Pass

Take a 4 x 4 tour of the Sani Pass. Sani Pass is the mother of all South African mountain passes. Statistically and in every sense, it out distances, out climbs, and out performs all it's competitors with consummate ease to have become the most iconic gravel pass in SA.
Situated between KZN and Lesotho the pass was built circa 1950 and remains a challenging drive in 4x4 vehicles with all the drama, scenery, bad weather and treacherous conditions expected of a pass with a summit altitude of 2876m ASL.
This is high altitude stuff. Go prepared for bad weather at any time and expect snowfalls as late as October. Snow has fallen on the pass in every month of the year, albeit not in the same year.

East London is a city on the Indian Ocean, in South Africa’s Eastern Cape. It’s known for its beaches, such as Nahoon and Cove Rock. The Buffalo Pass is a road crossing a forested valley and the Buffalo River. Fossilised human and animal footprints, plus artefacts from the Xhosa-speaking people, are exhibited at the East London Museum.

Addo Elephant National Park

You can witness these marvellous creatures by simply travelling to one of the waterholes, which is a hot spot for elephants. The game reserve is also famous for viewing the Big 5. Due to its close proximity to the coast, travellers can visit Algoa Bay for an opportunity to see Southern Right Whales and White Sharks.
