New interactive map helps travellers visually compare
destinations to spot the best available deals

Expedia^® today announced the launch of Flight Deals, a new tool designed to help travellers find high-value airfares with greater confidence. Available exclusively in the Expedia app, Flight Deals is a customisable deal feed that surfaces fares that are at least 20% lower than the typical predicted price for similar flights. The Flight Deals feature also includes a new interactive map, available on iOS, that helps travellers spot standout airfares at-a-glance, enabling faster and more intuitive trip planning.

Expedia Flight Deals is constantly analysing millions of flights to identify deals that meet a minimum value and quality bar. Deals are identified using historical data and other price context factors, then run through a quality check that filters out fares with more than one stop or super‑long layovers.

Most flight trackers watch prices; Flight Deals evaluates trips—starting with whether a flight would actually make sense for a traveller, then highlighting options with smart routing, reasonable layovers, and exceptional value.

Located in the Expedia app under the “Search” tab, then “Find Deals”, Flight Deals offers an open-ended way to search for flights. Travellers simply select a home airport and can instantly browse flight deals to destinations worldwide, with estimated price differences for the journey highlighted directly in the feed. Deals can be filtered by destination, trip duration and travel date, and travellers can further personalise their experience by creating custom deal alerts.

Flight Deals features include:

• Personalised feed – Browse flight deals to anywhere, or filter by destination and travel date.
• Interactive map experience – The map view, available on iOS, helps travellers compare destinations, making it easier to spot where the best deals are available.
• Great deals only – To qualify as a Flight Deal, a fare must be at least 20% lower than the typical predicted price for the route. Qualifying flights are displayed in the feed and are based on an analysis of 30+ factors, including historical data, booking windows and seasonality.
• No gatekeeping – Flight Deals is free, with no fee to see international flights or create custom deal alerts.
• Quality flights – Flight Deals does not surface routes with more than one stop or super‑long layovers.
• Always updating – Flight Deals uses machine learning to analyse millions of flights every day, sourcing new deals continuously and only surfacing deals that have been found in the last 24 hours.
• Custom deal alerts – Airfare prices can change daily, but travellers can set customised notifications and be alerted when a new deal appears for a preferred destination and date range.
• Book in the app – Go from browsing flight deals to booking in seconds, and manage the entire trip using self-service tools in the Expedia app.
